Twenty Pics of Update Six

Well, I have to say, that after being away from LOTRO for a few months, it's been refreshing coming back to some new content and new scenery!  I have been slowly working my way through the new "Great River" region, with both my epic storyline and the side quests.

For today's post, on the eve of April, I decided to post "twenty pics of update six" (yeah, I know it rhymes, eh!).  Oops, sorry - a little 'Canadian' slipped out there (gotta remember to cross my legs).  Enjoy!  ;)

Okay, so I'm breaking my own 'theme' to today's post - this technically was from my last time on a few months ago - the dying breath of Draigoch (geez he talks a lot while dying...).  But it was still in my "to be posted" queue, so I'm starting off with it.  (Looks more like he's trying to sing opera...)

Here we are - Stangard!  I am really pleased with the new details all over this region.  The lamp posts, house ornamentations, and even the mailboxes - all horse themed in great detail!  Love it.

Okay - there are not too many things in Middle Earth that I won't touch, but this picture contains two of them: floating beehives and penis shaped rocksMaybe it's just me - but these sorts of things I tend to give a wide berth to as I ride through Middle Earth.  Oh, and the third thing?  You'll have to ask Guido... ;)

Enjoying a rest with my Hunter Steed under the statues near Stangard (yeah, I know - they have a name but I didn't write it down...)

This is the inside of the mess hall in Stangard - I was blown away by the detailing in here...

...just incredible - they really captured the feel from the LOTRO movies in this hall.  So very well done!

I pose with my new bestest, furry friend - Landroval.  He and I had a long chat in the purple flowers about his friend.  Don't you just want to cage him and take him home to mommy?  ;)

Uh oh.  Spider webs and big eagles don't mix.  How the heck this guy managed to get himself trapped in here, inside a cave no less, is beyond me - but we all know eagles have a one-track mind for these sorts of things.  I hate spiders.  Just saying, it was his lucky day I stopped by to help.

There, much better - out in the fresh air, amongst the purple-y flowers, with my two new best buds... Landroval, and the other guy.  Hehe.

I almost made this my desktop background today... such a warm, beautiful scene - talking with the Ents about their lost Entwives.

Another great landscape view off in the Limlight region.

Passing through one of the many horsemen outposts of the Great River region.  Beautiful detail!

"Did you?  Did you?  Did you hear the one about the nut that went into the bar... Sarharien?  Are you listening to me?"  <Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz>  You know, it's bad enough being an Elf and "forbidden" from killing all these fluffy woodland creatures I come across, but did the fates have to grant me the ability to hear their senseless chatter too?  SO not fair... maybe if I hip check the barrel over...

Middle Earth Yoga... Sar-Style!

I tried to play "Duck, Duck, Goose" with these floating fellows, but they kept ignoring me.  Something about "how dare she call us geese, can't she tell we are SWAN?!?"  Oh well, I had a good lunch at my campfire today, after one of them "mysteriously" tipped over and floated down the river. ;)

Me: "I want your cloak.  It's pretty and it's red."  Captain: "Over my dead..."  Me: "Okay!"  :D

Painting the Entwives' garden red, with the help of some trolls.

Me and this troll decided to break out the dance moves for Lone Flower.  It was all going great, but I did warn Trolly that he needed to cease his flatulence in the presence of all these open flames...

...sadly, he busted a toot that ended up serving me "hot troll on a stick".  :(  Fun while it lasted!

I love it when I manage to capture action shots. :)  Here's my last pic, dispatching a troll with my flaming arrow.  "I said, stop the excessive flatulence!!"

There were many more adventures today - in fact, I enjoyed a three hour romp through the group quests in Limlight Gorge - only to find I had forgotten to bring my camera.  >.<  I hate how I get tunnel vision in group play and forget to click the PrtScr button.  Oh well - perhaps I'll capture more of that tomorrow when we go back to finish with the trees, trolls and spiders!

Until next time...

Love and hugs to all my fellow Dwarrowdelfians,

Sarharien -- Bowchick of Red and Collector of Shoes
Kierraen -- Minstrel of Delightful Octaves of Pain
Niphredila -- Warden of Gleeful Green Giggles
