At West Bree stables I found Tinabula glowing impressively on a hay bale. Sadly for me - like a moth to a flame - I approached her for a closer look, and fainted from her glow of beauty.
While sitting around the South Bree skirmish camp, I came across this handsome beau in blue. Galleott looked quite impressive in his well-matched and dyed armor set (can you give lessons to yesterday's failure?).
Helped a kin-mate Taea finish a quest out in Lone Lands today. Some boss goblin that was causing chaos in the local population of sheep I think. So hard to tell what is going on out there some days with those goblins. one minute they're collecting the skulls of their second cousins, and the next they're playing Uno around the firepit.
Chasing after Taea at one point, had me laughing at the goblin caught in the spider web along the hillside. It looked like he was BASE jumping and kinda failed on impact. >.<
I gotta say - one of my favourite places to snap pictures of is Weathertop. It's an incredibly scenic landmark from any position and direction. Here Taea and I are soaking in the view from southwestern Lone Lands.
**Random interjection of historical moment** I came across this old photo of Sarharien (second in from the right) and a big freep raid out in the Moors. It was a great day with 12 of us out raiding for quite a while against some great creep opposition. We were all over the map in battles that day - keeps, outposts, open fields, everywhere. It was great back and forth from both sides. I miss that sort of Moors-play. The current 10 vs 1 zerg fests that occur on both sides between TA and EC is just not enjoyable. One reason I haven't been out in the moors more than about 5 minutes in the last couple weeks. <sigh> Hope it changes soon - I miss the old days.
Well back in Bree I was still coming across more victims to photograph. Here I knelt down in the Bree Vaults to speak with Lylacrose eye-to-eye. Her hobbit was cute in the anniversary dress. Rather busty though...
Outside the Bree AH I came across Brodersalsa (I didn't realize that salsa had a breadth to it... figured it for a sliquid if anything). He was jammin the tunes on his little flute. I clapped... momentarily.
Later in the day, an L25 dwarf tank Beu asked me to help him 2-man GB Maze. I had never attempted that before, so I figured what the heck. It was a BLAST. :) So glad we did it. Died once at the last boss when I forgot to pay attention to Beu's health, but other than that, he tanked, I spanked and we had fun being swarmed by a zillion mobs.
Returning to solo questing, I helped return some treasures to some mountain dwarves in the Misty Mountains...
...and came to realize that Huge Snow-bears have huge butts - they even seem to have a face on them?!
Running some quick quests up and down the Misty Mountains while trailing mobs, I managed to grab this great shot of my glowing green sword and my Minas Ithil steed racing up a hill. It turned out really great - even has a great mountain in the background (is that the Lonely Mountain?).
At Gloin's camp in the Misty Mountains, I bumped into Orley and gave her a wave. Love her LM staff - the end ball glows purple now and then. Very cool!
A moment later this little black flash jumped over my head a bunch of times and ran off. When I managed to catch up, I found out it was Lallie of the appropriately named "Flying Dutchmen" kin. Her Minas Ithil pony looked so cute!
Later on in the day, Elrond sent me on an epic quest up to the mountains to track down the annoying Nazgul that has been plaguing my butt for a while now. Sadly he ran off (again), and Gimli and I just got to stomp on the head of some blustering dwarf lord.
A little later I discovered the entrance to the Helegrod Treasury... I had a feeling I would be back soon.
Figured before a battle, it might be a good time to lighten my bags of all these rocks I've been carrying around all day. Ore can give you SUCH a crick in the neck! In Thorin's forges I bumped into Venninne, a little hobbit that was bashing her hammer for a really REALLY long time (heck I had lunch, finished off about 80 ore, and she was STILL there!!!). I had a serious case of hair envy though. Really wanted red hair for Sarharien, but sadly picked the wrong Elf family and got stuck with dirty brown. Meh.
Moments after finishing my lunch, I bumped into this hilariously named hobbit (once again I got down on my knees to chat - but he ignored me), Porkchopsandwich! Had I not just eaten, he would have had me hungry for sure! Love pork chops.
I am just one item away from my Minstrel legendary quest - a Rune of Winged Dominance, which seems to only drop from part of the Carn Dum instance. I took a quick horsey ride over there today, and stopped momentarily for this picture. Notice the big orc-giant-troll smashy guy about to walk past? Well, after he had gone by, I raced up that ramp in the distance, only to be pummelled to death by no less than FOUR of his distant-ugly-cousins. <sigh> No rune for Kierraen today. <pout>
My last major adventure of the day had me running the Fire and Ice instance within Helegrod, seeking to stop the Nazgul's evil plans. By the time I got in there and finished wiping out all his annoying mobs, he was in the process of raising a wight-dragon for his eeebil plans. Epic fail on his part though - the dragon took one look at him after being woken up, and flew off into the night sky. HA!
He was really pissed at that point, but stuck around long enough for me to club him to death with my newly acquired Mathom Society Cast Iron Frying Pan. If you've seen the Disney movie Tangled, then you'll know how epic and fun fryingpan fighting can be. LOVE that movie. <3
Love and hugs to all my fellow Dwarrowdelfians,
Kierraen -- Minstrel of Delightful Octaves of Pain
