Troll-stompin' Funfest

Today found me spending a bunch of time out in the Trollshaws, running errands for a bunch of Elves and even Elrond himself!  Kill this!  Battle that!  Go back and get me my broom!  Quite a long day of questing...

Elrond was sneaky today - he woo'd me with this glowing rock of bling.  I mean, how do I turn down a sparkly rock as big as my fist, that seems to get my mojo going?

Well, unfortunately for me, it seems that carrying around such rocks in the Trollshaws, ends up turning on every TROLL in the neighbourhood to your position.

Some little fluffy-men tried to get in my way, but frankly they weren't any match for my painful, talentless drum balads of thumpage.  (I really need to get myself a cowbell - at least then I can't convince myself that I might be a great musician!)  It seems that some nazgul has been in the area, killing black horses.  Meh - just give me my reward.

I kinda felt sorry for them after 30 minutes.  These poor trolls and their terrible skin condition (Dove could make a killing out here in Middle Earth), just ran at me - and what's a girl to do except protect herself?

Later on in the evening hours, Elrond gave me another glowing stone, and sent me off to the Ford of Bruinen.  Seems that he still can't get over how amazing Arwen looked as she gave the nine nazgul a log ride down the raging river.  Sadly for me, there was no audience when I got there and lifted the rock above my head... just these two pesky fireflys that put on a pretty display of glowing lights beside me...

About an hour later, I was chatting up another elf at the House in Rivendell, and they remembered some giant that had stolen a gem from Elrond.  Seems that their current questing crew was out playing with some bears, so they asked me if I could visit the 'secret' location and bring back the gem.  "The giant is dead," so they said...

I gotta say, the interior of this 'secret' cave was pretty impressive!  Some sunlight beamed through a crack in the ceiling (in the middle of the night?!?) and illuminated the room beautifully.  I really wanted to take the rug with me for my house, but sadly someone had bolted it to the floor.  >.<

When I got into the back chamber, I found the dead giant on the floor, and the beautiful gem sparkling innocently on a tabletop.  Hm... wait a minute, there's some wriggly worms mulling about in here.  Worms alive - giant dead... sure THIS seems like a good idea, right?  I'll spare you the details, but suffice to say, after ruining a pair of good boots, Elrond got his bling back.

My last quest of the night took me off to the southern hills overlooking the Bruinen.  Seems that an entire camp of elves is just waiting for me to come back and help them with a bunch of tasks... but not tonight!

Just as I was getting comfortable with the view over the Bruinen Gorge, my bberry went off.  Seems a good friend of mine needed my sister's help clearing the Grand Stairs in Moria.  I was feeling tired anyways, so I texted my sis, Sarharien, and got them hooked up...

Here we are - The Last Company - doing a five-some through Grand Stairs. I really wasn't trying to grab agro THAT often, but those Moria mobs love my flaming arrows.

Had some over-zealous arrow pulls tonight, all my fault, but entertainingly fun as Acidor's healing was put to the test with our 5-man kin group.  We stomped through the daily challenge pretty quick, didn't have any fantastic drops at the end like yesterday, but it was good fun for all - and no one died!  :)  The end to a perfect evening!

Love and hugs to all my fellow Dwarrowdelfians,
